Partnering with the Salt Lake City firm, GSBS Architects, we were commissioned by the BLM to design the visitors centers for the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument in Utah. Working with the Coconino National Forest to design trail head structures and signage that create the feeling of “Parkitecture”, we researched the rich heritage of National Park Lodges, entry stations, shelters and signage. We also helped master plan the Red Rock Pathways trail system which was used by the USFS in the implementation the multi-modal Bell Rock Pathway and other trail links in the Sedona area.
