The City of Sedona hired us to prepare the Uptown/Creek Area Specific Plan and manage an extensive public participation process. This effort generated the concepts of a Creek Walk and a public shuttle system to link Sedona’s visitor based commercial areas. The City then engaged us to develop the “Heart of Sedona” plan, which established 3 pedestrian centers and public parking linked by walkways. We master planned 22 acres in the heart of Sedona for ILX Resorts, acheiving a community plan change and the donation of a Town Park and historic buildings to the City. We helped Yavapai College explore several different visions for their Verde Campus property, which has resulted in the current direction for an vineyard and agricultural based mixed-use project and future extension of the existing campus. We also created the architectural guidelines and design patterns for the Black Boulder Mesa development in southern Utah.
